My first basket

Basket making for me began with a one-day art class waaaaay back in fifth grade. I wish there was a way to tell that lovely teacher how she inspired me for life.

I’m right now collecting blackberry canes so when my wheat is harvested come fall I’ll be able to use them to make a bee skep and some coil baskets. The naturally soft and padded nature of woven baskets make them great for collecting and storing eggs in.

My smallest basket (I love these)

My micro baskets (“the tea-tiny ones” as my Mum calls them) are simply just a fun thing to make. They are also an adorable addition to anyone with a doll house, so they make a perfect gift if you have a doll house person in your life. 🙂
