Bronze plating
I began modeling both regular and mythical animals using aluminium foil in childhood. In my teens I expanded these creations into large and impressive works of art, but despite them getting a lot of media interest, I learned after a few art shows and comic cons that no matter how much people liked how they looked, they didn’t think they would last given their medium.
It took me a further fifteen years to come up with a way to keep the complete flexibility and creativity of foil while producing a more lasting piece. Electroplating a foil sculpture in bronze takes it to that next level. Each one I make is a totally unreplicatable one-of-a-kind piece of art.
