Wire Wrapped Fossil Impression of an Ammonite

Fossil impression of an ammonite in a small mudstone nodule, wrapped with dark wire so as to not distract from the pattern. Accented with a large pink and smaller green bead and strung on a black waxed cord.

On the North coast of the UK is a little town called Skinningrove and it is a treasure trove of sea glass, fossils, sea china and all kinds of industrial revolution debris, all tossed and jumbled with rounded beach stones and sand.

We lived near it for a full year and all spent many happy hours in the icy cold North Sea winds searching for the treasures to be found there.
