Little Mouse and Sakura Blossoms - Carved Into Antique Wood Panel

Little Mouse and Sakura Blossoms, pictured with and without flash.
Right now we have plenty of mice coming in from the fields so this is inspired by the adorable little things, and Sakura Blossoms are one of my favorite flowers anywhere!
Carved into a panel of wood reclaimed from a bed dating from between 1860 to 1916 - the nails holding it together were transitional nails, part mass produced and finished by a smith.
Painted with pearlescent watercolors and given a mineral oil overlay to enhance the richness of the ages old wood.
I have no idea how BIG the tree had to be to create a solid wood panel measuring 31 by 41 cm but it had to have been impressive.
Probably Teak, but I’m not absolutely certain.
